In my country biggest problem is to find a legal download site lol. If some of us(let's say 70-80) downloaded any jovi song here in croatia, it would be called ultimate hit and no 1.You see, our music industry is in very big problems

we've listened to everyones comments and it has been favoured that we should choose a song from lost highway, with this event running whilst their in the UK makes sense! So the two songs that have been most popular have been,

Any Other Day
We Got It Going On

What would you choose? and please keep joining the group still got another 4 days til we start downloading, we've got just under 800 people signed up now and more who have shown interest but we want as many as we can!

As much as I like the principle of the idea, it's not going to work if it's done this way.

The easiest way to get the band to number 1 is to rally behind the next official single release- and as suggested, something from the NEXT album or GHII. Singles sales from LH so far have been poorer than previous, so I think you'd be flogging a dead horse downloading Any Other Day etc. Remember, some of us have only just bought our second version of the album in less than a year! We're not going to want to buy a track for the third time!
Also, if it's an official release, there's the added impact (albeit small impact) of CD and even vinyl sales in stores.

If the insistence however is for getting an old track to No 1, you need to really think carefully as to which song it should be. To hit the required number, you need the diehards, the casual fans, and even non-fans to buy it. LOAP is something most people will have. It's regularly played in clubs across the UK, people are always hearing it. As someone has said, Always is a song lots of people love, even if they don't know who sings it! Cross Road is one of those albums that crops up in all kind of CD collections, so it would be better going for something a lot less well known.

My suggestion would be BTBMB. It's upbeat, catchy, fun. For people who don't know it, it will grab their attention. For some it could be a case of "wow, I haven't heard that in years - good song." Whatever the song, it needs to be something that stands out, not something people hear fairly regularly.

Now, as for going about this. First, you need a more realistic timescale. Perhaps a month. Set an actual day- "We're all going to download it on July XX". You need time to spread the word as far as possible.
The second thing is radio requests. One man texting the local radio station asking for BTBMB would be lucky to actually hear it. If the station gets numerous requests, they'll play it. And it's not just local radio. Radio 1. Jo Wylie would probably be the best bet. If she gets a handful of e-mails or texts asking for it to be played, she'll take notice. The DJ's will be surprised. They'll be talking about. They'll play it, even if just out of curiousity. That's how these kind of things build up.

If this is going to be done, it needs a bit more thought and planning if we are seriously going to get Bon Jovi to the number one slot.

Same problem here in Australia. 7 #1 albums, 11 top 10 singles and yet, no #1.

You should pick a song that Bon Jovi plays everynight in the UK. For the people that don't know it, They would remember hearing it in concert and buy it. I'd go with born to be my baby.

Well we've chose a song after counting all the votes "WE GOT IT GOING ON" has came out the winner, which is a real catchy upbeat tune! I'm sure if we could get it in the charts for people to hear they would love it and buy it! also its a song they play alot live so i'm hoping they do it at twickenham friday night

so thats the song are groups will be download from Monday 23rd June til Sat 28th so please join in the groups still growing steadily and we have now over 850 people and hopefully still get alot more!
