Again, really like the songs, but I think My Guitar is simply too depressing, I know I said I want serious lyrics, but I couldn't picture myself playing a song that said "I'd like to jump but I'm afraid to hit the ground" to my class ya know? XD Letting You Go is one of my all-time favorites, but it's a lost-love song, and I'd hate to think about how many of those will be going around

There's another vote for TD =D there's something about it that's not too much of anything IMO...and Does Anybody Really Fall In Love Anymore - actually, I was considering Now And Forever (on the topic of NJ demos anyway), the lyrics of which I find gorgeous, but it just didn't CLICK.

Agreed, another one in favor of TD then =) I think that's the one I'm going to go with TBH, I'm really leaning towards it for some reason.

Take a look at "Staring at Your Window With a Suitcase in My Hand" as a metaphor for how Jon feels about his relationship with his fans. It works well on a couple levels. I could point it all out but it's your paper, have fun with it.

TD is probably the best choice but some other to consider are KTF,Save a Prayer,some good lines in You Can Sleep While I Dream and Walk Don't Run,that bridge in Hey God...but My Guitar Lies Bleeding would leave an impression on people,maybe it's depressing but it's very good and as a song very well written.

Definetly your best choice would be These Days in my opinion.
On one hand it has a lot of emotion in it and if you look at it from a poetic point of view, it has allusions and personifications and brings to life some old characters like james dean and fictitious character like Jimmy shoes and his struggle to find meaning in life which is meant to have the reader be indentified with him.

So yeah, pick that one....

Ehehe if anyone still cares, I took in TD today and was actually coaxed into singing it XD so I sang the first 3 or 4 verses (we were pressed for time) and people asked me if I was in choir, so that made me feel rather good and nobody mocked it! Yay! =D
