Gracefully? Rock stars? I can think of a lot of adjectives for rock stars (bad, wasted, great, drunk, etc.), but 'graceful' isn't one of them.

Age issue, no band or artist is obligated to suck when they grow older. Damnit. Just look at for example Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Ronnie James Dio, Whitesnake...I could make close to endless list of this. Artists way older than joviguys, and still they rock the way they always used to. So take that crap about aging gracefully and shove it into where sun doesn't shine.

Oh, but I was *never* talking about the music! I said *outwardly*! I had Mick Jagger in mind when I worte that.

What makes me cringe is when artists are trying to ignore the fact that they are older in the way they dress. I think it's ridiculous when they're trying to wear stuff that simply doesn't fit them.

Of course the music has nothing to do with age. But I insist I wasn't talking about that, but about the looks and keeping some dignity.

I hope I made it clearer this time

I want the KTF era back. The hair metal albums like SWW and NJ were great, but I prefer the more mature sound to Bon Jovi such as on KTF and even some NJ songs. TD was a good effort to continue in that vain, but since moving onto Crush and Bounce it seems Bon Jovi have dropped the mature style of music, apart from maybe a couple of tracks and just put out some pop crap to appeal to the newer generation and sell some records.

even so. Ian Gillan's hair is all grey by now, he doesn't dye it. Mick Jagger does look like shite. Not all these older rockers do need or use plastic surgery, they just keep on doing what they always used to do.

I do agree, artists should realize that they're getting older, and use it as an advantage instead of trying to look young.

Somehow this does bring me back to Jovi. They suck quite a lot with their all polished appearance. And all polished music as well

After meeting Jon in person, I can tell you one thing for sure, he is showing his age. I was pretty surprised at how much older he looks in person as opposed to what you see in magazines and such.

As for BJ's polished appearance, is it their fault that they aren't at the "Keith Richards" stage yet?? Hehe

Well, that's what I meant - not to try and hide wrinkles etc by plastic surgery or whatever. Just keep natural and age like everybody else. The look of an older person trying to look younger is so much worse than that of an older person looking natural.
