The real order should be Mercury, then Plant. Scot is overrated.

I think Jon's position in that chart should be n. 6 right back Steven Tyler and Axl Rose should be out of the top 10 with Ozzy. Just my opinion.

What does that mean? I don't think any magazine would put Cobain under the first 10 when counting the best frontmen (maybe even the first 30 or 50 depending on who they fish out).

no, I've never read them, but I always thought the british press didn't like Nirvana. But what do I know.

I might agree with most influential singer and no1 album - depending on no1 in what sense, but that doesn't mean that they just put Nirvana as no1 regardless. There is really no dispute as to what influence Nirvana had on the music scene, even though many many people didn't and don't like them. But anytime somebody puts Nirvana as no1 in any category you hear all the 'ugh Nirvana so overrated ugh' cries which to me seems more of an emotional outburst than subjective opinion.

so, not having Kurt among the top ten frontmen just shows that other people can be more subjective while putting nirvana as most influental band. :P

off my nirvana rant

Mercury is a joke... he used to boot Thin Lizzy off early because they won the crowd over opening for queen.. he always felt threteaned by Phil Lynott.

Jovi deserves to be their guys.. seriously his great on stage

good to see an aussie at #1 Bon Scott was good... maybe not the best but top 10 material

I agree on Scott being overrated. The way I see it, frontman of ac/dc is angus anyway......

and uhm, jon is just as overrated. Without a doubt,IMO.. plant, freddie, ozzy should be on top. and I'd give some credit to mr Phil Lynott as well.

And where did you get that from??? Never heard that one in my life! I seriously doubt Freddie being intimidated by anyone, considering that he thought he was the best frontman anyway. You can say a lot of things about Freddie but lacking in self esteem or feeling less than anyone else is not one of them!
