I know!! I am now officially in love with AOL!

But how did they f up your computer? I only had problems with windows media player - as anticipated.

Over here, AOL has gotten extremely good reviews, while MTV sucked so bad it isn't even funny.
When I stopped using AOL I couldnt seem to delete the programme at all. Someone who knows about computers told me not to touch AOL after that

But as you say theyve done a really good job with Live 8. Still wouldnt use them as my provider again though :P

What was wrong with MTV??? Was it a case of adverts every 19 seconds???

Basically, they had two teens going 'oh my god, so many people - this is so cool - wow - what an event.... bla bla bla' while you could see the bands rocking out in the background (grrr). They switched late to the bands, then they cut to commercials before the song was over - even though they pretty much only broadcasted one song per band - 2 at the most.

Here is a very good article about it:

I've never had this problem with AOL, it sounds like your registry was f**ked up. I hope you've gotten that cleaned up since. I've been using them since 1997. I graduated from them back then, but I've wound up keeping access to it to keep the same email as opposed to constantly changing it up on people.

MTV should be publically embarassed and admonished in the press. They have been a bit, but I wanted to see it in the headlines "World Disgusted With MTV Coverage of Live 8, daily viewership drops dramatically." They are completely useless, have no value whatsoever other than teaching young children to have no attention span, that only young new "artists" are worthy, that if there is no singing or rapping then there is no need to pay attention, cut to commercial.

and don't forget, if it doesn't promote sex or has an orgy in the middle of it, or has a really tight cut body, then it's not worth seeing.
