And even if it stood, I don't think Jon would mind Alec earning some money through such a release, as he is still the bass player that Jon wants to be remembered as BJ's bassist.

I'm not sure if Alec actually gets any money for the albums. In the end, Huey played on all of them, not Alec.

Yeah but it's Alec that his credited on these albums. I'd bet Hugh got a big check but Alec gets the royalties.
