I dunno, maybe it's because 92,000 people or whatever it was that attended the show.I wasn't there so I can't say if it was such a good show or not.
Just because a lot of people witnessed this show doesn't make it any better then some other European show. Even if they want to release an old show on DVD, they won't take Hyde Park for sure.

Were you there? Do you actually know how good the show was? Don't dis something just because a lot of people found it great!

And besides, even if this wasn't the greatest European show, it makes no difference - I hardly think Zurich 2000 was the best Crush Tour gig but that made it to DVD/VHS and the crowd looked asleep through most of it!

But recording a show to go into DVD is very expensive, so they just choose a location and off they go - it's not about choosing the best show of every tour.

They couldn't record every single show with the necessary equipment and then choose the best one, could they?

I think the Crush Tour DVD is the average Bon Jovi show. And I don't think the crowd looks asleep They're just Swiss (no offense to any Swiss around - you're just very quiet :P)

Yes, but the clips that they showed from it weren't that impressive. Jon wasn't in top form at all. I am sure it was a great atmosphere, but I can't imagine them releasing a show where the band members looked exhausted and Jon looked ill.

As for Zurich, I would rather have the crowd look half asleep than the band. :P Seriously though, being there and seeing it on DVD are two different things. The DVD is going to show you all of the flaws, whereas being there you are caught up in the excitement of it all.

I can agree with that totally but if you asked me which gig looked the best between Hyde Park and Zurich, the London gig wins hands down! Look at how energetic they all are (even Hugh!). Jon's running around, jumping up and down and putting on a real show whereas in Switzerland the stage doesn't allow him to run around and he doesn't look nearly as charged - none of them do, not least the crowd!

Yes I was there, and know how good the show was; not good enough for a DVD release. For a lot of people over here Hyde Park was the only show they've visited which is why they think "that it's been their best show ever", or it was good because of the memories they have. (meeting people from all over the world)

But Zurich was filmed for DVD, they hired camera men to film to show for a DVD release. This is not the case for Hyde Park, so if they choose to put a show on DVD, they'd better take a good one from their archive.
