I'm not too certain about TV broadcasts. I've always assumed that they came from the SBD feed, but then again there's Rio 1990 where the mix of Tokyo Road (B-side later on) was far superior to the one of the TV broadcast.

Ok, that makes sense. I think it's probably true that they used microphones for the TV broadcasts, but I'm not sure, either. But that would explaind why I was confused, because Pro Shot not neccessarily equals SBD, and it's a shame that some of those recordings are not as pristine as today
