Depends on the mood, but I got to go with Living in Sin. Beautiful melody and Jon’s vocals are impeccable! The whistle notes at the end is just the cherry on the top for me

I agree, Wild Is The Wind beats both by a landslide.
My bad. In that case, Living in Sin is my pick.
I have never been crazy about Wild in the Streets.

Both great but Living in Sin is probably the best ballad they’ve ever done.

Living in Sin for me.
Ive always loved it.As someone posted before, much more passion on Living In Sin.
I will never forget the first time I listened to it live at Milton Keynes 06.
On the other side Ive never been a fan of Wild In The Streets,I like it,but I have always had the feeling that doesnt fit well in Slippery, and I would have replaced it with Edge of A Broken Heart.
Its a Jersey sound song following Springsteen and SSJ style more than Slipperys

Living In Sin for me.
Wild In The Streets is a good, fun throwaway rocker. Living In Sin stands the test of time a bit more, still stands up to this day.

Living In Sin for me. One of my all time favorites. I witnessed it live on the second leg of the NJ tour by the time it was the current single. Sadly, I haven’t heard it live since 1989.

I’ve always wondered why they decided to leave Born To Be My Baby & Living In Sin out of Crossroad, even though both were top 10 hits in the US and obvious fan favorites even back then.

Wild In The Streets is a bit problematic for me, though. Like stated above on this thread, it sounds somewhat different from the rest of the album and I think it lacks some melodic power so typical of Slippery. Back then they used to play it live amongst the first few songs of the set. It was of course always outstanding to get to hear I’d Die for You, Wild In The Streets and You Give Love A Bad Name back to back. Jon was usually on fire during the song. I think he was quite proud of it. I suppose he saw it as a nod towards Southside Johnny or Springsteen. If I remember correctly, Jon said in an interview in 1986 or 1987 that the song wasn’t even intended to make Slippery. Anyhow, the pizza parlor jury made him change his mind and subsequently, Wild In The Streets and Never Say Goodbye made the final songlisting. ‘It was just another fun live song’ he said. The last time I heard it live must have been on the Crush tour, I think.

I think that they were thinking internationally at the time. They couldn't fit 5 songs from New Jersey on there and Born To Be My Baby and Living In Sin were the weakest performing songs outside of the USA, I believe. Certainly here in the UK neither cracked the Top 20.

Two songs were left out because the band "adopted" Blaze Of Glory and because of Richie fighting very emphatically for Never Say Goodbye's inclusion on the record.
