There isn't a song I dislike that much on LH tbh. I love Memory, WLOL, WGIGO, Any Other Day, Everybodys Broken and ILTT.

It's under-rated.

Lost Highway did NOT grow on me - I like it less now than I did when I first heard it. The live shows did nothing to help that either. I prefer the first half of the album and I think Whole Lot of Leavin' is it's crowning glory. It would be a good song on any album in my opinion.

I have always liked Lost Highway. Maybe not as much as the other post-2000 albums but still, I can listen to the album and really enjoy it ! As Richie said, behind those violins and banjos there are some good rock tracks !

The best tracks for me are LH, MAM, AOD and One Step Closer. Seriously people, am I the only one who loves One Step Closer ?

I used to like it, but it's gone down. Mind you I like it more than HAND Bounce and TLFR, but everything else is way better. Everybodys broken, wlol and the title track are the only songs I listen to on it these days.

I remember when Lost Highway first came out, I tried really really hard to like it. I think my review on here was pretty flattering. Ah well, we all make mistakes.

I think it's a D effort at best. When I first heard Bon Jovi was going to be doing a country-influenced record, I was really hoping they meant REAL country, earthly, rootsy tunes with a lot of complex arrangements that made you think of the desert and mountains. But how silly of me; Bon Jovi wasn't interested in country as much as they were 'CMT', which is entirely different. So we got a CMT-influenced record in the vein of Keith Urban. Not country... as pop as pop can pop...

The only salvagable songs are Make A Memory (the only of the 'shmoozing' post-2000 ballads that is actually good), Any Other Day (could have been a classic if they didn't fade out the outro, and if Jon liked it), and Whole Lot of Leaving (I love this song, think it's the only song on the album that was actually a true rock/country hybrid, and remains in my top 10). Everything else is garbage ranging from bad (the dispensable title track and WGIGO, which other than the good talkbox solo remains embarassing) to the outright abominable (Till We Aint Strangers Anymore).

Most of the album is a throwaway with the exceptions of Whole lot of leaving,Any other day and of course Make a memory(which i think is a gem and the further away from the release the more prized it will become in the sets)
I wonder will any of those be on greatest hits 2

This album is very much blah and average.
It's interesting to read the lyrics of the title track where he sang about saying farewell to mediocrity when the album is full of mediocre tracks!

With that said, there are a few good tracks. I Love This Town is the best song of the album. Any Other Day and We Got It Going On are good songs as well (except that breakdown of WGIGO where he rambled about my country cousin shit, that bit is gay). Come to think of it, the title track is also decent.

Everything else is just sleep inducing and I especially hate Summertime and the ultra-gay-ballad MAM.

The B-sides are nothing to write home about.

I have only just got LH a week ago so my opinion of it is probably different now than it might be in a couple of months, but I love it.

Make a Memory is a beautiful song, its my favourites song, the others are good as well. Seat Next To You is okay its the only one I dont really like, but I think the entire album is really catchy.

I don't like LH at all TBH. WGIGO is the worst Bon Jovi song of all time in my eyes and after that song the album just gets worse and worse. MAM was good and Lonely but thats all.
