For all Lost Highway's faults it was hugely successful and turned a few heads. The Circle has done neither so far.

Cheers buddy! Good to hear you like it. We're influenced by a lot of the stuff that you're into. Stone Roses, Who, Stones, etc.

And that is just one of the few reasons why I have lost faith in humanity....

First of all i liked some of your music.
It takes a lot of guts to get up there and have a go in the first place.
But there is also nothing wrong with writing a good pop song.If its catchy and people enjoy it, Then so be it.I for one love Summertime. it reminds me of 99 In The Shade which is one of my favourite songs.
People are quick to come in here and knock the band for whatever they do.I mean i'll admit i hate We Got It Goin' On but still love there post 2000 cd's except for Crush which i thought was really weak.Although people in here thought it was great. It's just an opinion really.
But when you knock them musically well i think that's going a bit far.Once again just my opinion, Keep Rockin'.

Thing is, the pop songs they used to make at least had a good spirit and were exceedingly well crafted. I mean Livin' On A Prayer, that's not rock 'n' roll, that's a pop song through and through. But it's a ****ing brilliant pop song, and the ones they've been doing recently are just a bit limp and rubbish. Add to that the fact that they just don't have the rockers they used to (99 In The Shade is a pretty cool rock song in addition to the hooky elements - they didn't do it as a medley with Summertime Blues for nothing). And then some of the music they do is just a bit bad (to me anyway, anti-opinion nazis).

I don't really listen to the sort of dull pop/rock they do a lot now, but I certainly dig the kind of real rock that Rob's band did, as with the real rock Bon Jovi used to do.

Yeah that's a fair comment. As long as it isn't a bullshit pop song like a lot of what we hear on the radio and much of Bon Jovi's post 2000 stuff. We got knocked back by a couple of record companies because we didn't have any obvious singles. They were impressed by the standard of our music, but said it wasn't marketable without a hit single. We do have a couple of catchy numbers, but they mostly contain dark lyrics where most people just wanna here some pop bullshit like what Lady Gaga, Robbie Williams and McFly put out. Ferret hit the nail on the head with his comment about how some of the earlier Bon Jovi stuff contained a lot of well crafted pop songs. Songs with a lot of passion that mean something to a lot people.
