Look for a live version in Jakarta on youtube (if it's on there) ... I remember this one as a non accoustic but maybe I'm wrong ... not 100% sure
You should find an answer to this question with google and youtube

There is one from 1995 and from what I remember it's about 90% electric. Great version though.

It was only played in its original form on the SWW tour (most with some pretty painful vocals - Vancouver sprins to mind) with everything else played either acoustic, semi-electric or in a different arrangement. Out of all of the versions I've heard, I prefer the Storytellers one from 2000. Jakarta is half-decent but that guitar tone and solo really doesn't fot the way the rest of the song is arranged.

Ah-ah not true.

They did play the original electric version live on the Bounce Tour on March 15, 2003 at St. Pete Times Forum, Tampa, Florida, USA. Near the end of the show someone held up a banner saying "Can you do the electric version of Never Say Goodbye this time?" or something like that. Jon asked the band if they could do it and they played the electric version of it.

Sadly, no bootleg exists. And apart from this performance in Tampa, the band has never done the electric version of Never Say Goodbye since the New Jersey Tour.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I stand corrected. The fact that there was no boot is probably the eason I've never heard of it.
