Yeah that gig rocks. As you can probably tell I'm a big fan of Dire Straits and I like how they use the saxophone in a few of their songs such as, Going Home Theme (Local Hero), Two Young Lovers, Your Latest Trick, etc. I was watching a video of that Nelson Mandella concert and was really surprissed when Eric Clapton came out. Knopfler just said, "We got a replacment on the guitar for tonight. The best we could do I'm afraid. Ladies and Gentlemen, Eric Clapton." Amazing, and I liked that version of Wonderful tonight they did aswell! My fave Dire Straits live gig though is the Alchemy album. Now that's how to do a live album!
As for Love For Sale, I love that song, and it's brilliant how Bon Jovi have done it almost as a joke song, but made it very good musically. The harmonica is excellent, and the acoustic guitar or banjo, or whatever it is sounds brilliant. I think Bon Jovi should do more songs in that style, although then I suppose they would be acused of ripping Love For Sale off, but they could use the Harmonica more. After all Dylan and Springsteen had huge hits using the harmonica.
