Didn't Jon originally write Save The World for the Armageddon movie soundtrack, but they chose Aerosmiths I Don't Want To Miss A Thing instead.

It is a bit mushy, but in the context of the movie, it fits quite well.

For example:
Save the World: "Our love is even stronger than God hoped it could be"
TYFLM: Most of the song especially "When I couldnt fly, you gave me wings"
AALY: "Weve been to hell and back again, but through it all.........", and most of the rest of the song.

For me the classic BJ love songs were Bed of Roses, Always, Lie to Me, even I'll be there for You(although it had its fair share of cheese). It just seems to me that when they are writing these new songs they are on auto pilot or reading from a book of cliches. To be honest I cringe at some of the lyrics and this tendancy for "heaven/hell" and flying is a bit childish. Again I do like Bounce and Crush and I'm not trying to be negative about the band but to me its a worrying trend. Anyone agree/disagree?

I agree with evrything but the very beginning!

I like both songs so I can't say anything bad or show favortism.. but - that is really cool if he did write it for the soundtrack! That's awesome!

isn't that song about long haired rockers who instead of doing the job they're paid to do have sex with their employers very sexy rich wife?

I suppose this is what love songs should be to rock music though :P

I dont even listen to what Im singing with a Jovi song, really dont care. Song words mean very little to me, although something like Someday I'll Be Saturday Night, or Letting You Go captures my attention lyrically as well as musically. I like a song because it sounds good, they can say whatever they feel like within that.

So what you're telling me is the whole thing is just a big scam... Jon can't sing at all, he just does the lyrics, but just does a ****ing great job of miming whilst jovi29579 sings all the lyrics
