Yes, but when you're at a gig and you've noticed that a ballad right after the opener won't work you'll think it's stupid. So why make a dream setlist that doesn't work ? If the order from the songs would've been different the setlist would be good.

I wouldn't. I love bands that do things differently..... Best opener I've ever seen was Yes, who opened with a 25 min version of CLose to the Edge! Simply breathtaking, but wouldn't fit your usual rock concert format....
True more often than not a band woudln't do it, and it would sound different, and in this case, I'd sooner Bon Jovi didn't..... But then if they played Livin in Sin as song number two, I'd be a very happy bunny!
Plus last songs only 'have' to be hit's if you're playing to a crowd who aren't really familiar with your work..... My dream Bon Jovi gig is in the Manchester Apollo (3,000), so they could play what the hell they liked, because more or less everybody there would know even the demo's, and would want to hear the rare songs more!
