If Jon let go of his desire to be commercially successful it would be the end of the music career. Commercial success always was the goal. And there is no way back.
If he loose this desire he will make his way to Hollywood or in politics.

LOL @ this thread.
First off, I think Bon Jovi are at the point now where the phrase "make or break" doesn't come anywhere near them.

I think that's because critics/some in the music business/people who just don't like the band want it to be, so hat they can be "proven right"

Bullshit. Bands do very well just in Europe and Asia. There are many, many bands that don't even have record contracts in the US that are selling millions elsewhere.

It's not an "American" company, it is based in America but has subsidiaries in most countries. Including all of Europe.

And your answer has nothing to do with the bullshit rockaffair posted saying that only US Market counts.

I'm getting so sick of all thos Americans that thing any American market is world Market.
Wake up, the US is just a part of the market and they surely don't control it. Wake up, US is NOT equal to the world

Yeah i see what you mean and the promotion here in the UK isn't very good but when they do tours and things they are great and they sell out and things, some people might want to leave the album and singles to save up on tours and things but if BJ got the promotion they needed then yes album i think would have more of a chance in the charts
Thanks! Good Post BTW

If I was in their position I'd rather be ragarded as a worldwide stadium band than a US arena band that plays stadium in the northeast during summer.

That's just my position, the lack of push on the albums worldwide baffles me everytime.
