True, although that was the week of the tour, and for a change was actually promoted properly by having a live version to download (although not the "live version from the concert you went to" that it seemed to read)

I would still love to see them adopt the same idea Metallica has been doing with the Vault part of their website. After each show fans can get on the site and download the entire concert for around $10.00. I know at $10.00 a show that seems kinda steep to try to get every show from a tour but at least fans could buy the concert they went to see. Would also be a nice feature since they seem to play different songs depending on where in the world they are playing.

It#s nice for people with DSL. Everyone else still has to make something illegal.

Very true, it seems to be an increasingly rare example of them releasing the right song at the right time, promoting it properly, and getting a hit single out of it ... it's not exactly rocket science, sometimes it almost seems like the band and the record company are deliberately making it difficult for themselves

i personally think lost highway is like a 'project' album like TLFR which is one of the reasons i think there not botherd about touring it right away
and greatest hits 2 will probally be called crossroad III (crossroad II was in the crossroad boxset) or somthing like that so i rekon their working on another studio album they'll probally do a couple of new tracks on the new greatest hits album like on crossroad
they'll make hundereds of demos pick the best ones and make a new album

Most albums they do now are like "project" albums. The band is totally washed up and not capable of releasing a good rock record anymore. I start thinking that they should have retired after Crossroad came out.

And about Crossroad II ... What would they put on this record? Since 1994 they only had 2 real hits It's my life and Who says you can't go home. All other singles did from okay to poor. The times of living on a prayer, you give love bad name, bad medicine and always are long gone. How many people would buy a greatest hits record with only 1 or 2 real hits on it?

And about make or break, I wish! I think they can do whatever they want as long as they bring in touring money. And they certainly exploit they artistic freedom.

thanks for the support gurkha..., i know not related to quote.. your support is appreciated...

when bon jovi fans with great determination defend bon jovi as a pop band, we should expect pop albums, if they had more rock fans, fans of ROCK music then maybe they would bring out more rock albums

Sales in the UK have declined but you have to remember that Crush was a massive seller worldwide, something in the region of 10 million? Most big bands are lucky to have one album that sells anywhere near that, let alone an album which has supposedly come after their "peak".

Can't argue about the shite promotion of recent albums though. The music hasn't been mind-blowing, but the effort to make a massive hit single to promote an album seems to have vanished since 'Its My Life'.

Unfortunately, I cannot see Bon Jovi really increasing in popularity again in this country, they will always be popular and recognised though- Even if it is just for Living On A Prayer...But their momentum has been lost somewhat after three albums which have pretty much been forgotton by British music fans
