Today I heard the full version of the new Wanted dead or alive on a german radio station. I already liked the 30 sec clip so I was excited when it came on. All in all the song is not that bad but there's something missing, it doesn't sound complete, and there's too much drum computer (or not enough real drums).
First of all, there's this guitar part missing between the intro and the first verse - maybe it was a single edit and it's on the album but I don't think so. I didn't catch the very beginning so I might have missed it but I don't think so either. First disappointment. And then: There is NO GUITAR SOLO! Aaaaarrrrrgggghhhhh! There's is a little instrumental part instead, but no Richie! After that "solo" is a cool part where it almost sounds accoustic and in the end is a cool heavy part which indeed sounds like Nu Metal (not BJ but cool).
The slight change in the lyrics is also good "still the same old band" or so sings Jon. I can really say I like it but it's by far not perfect, they could've done more of it. And there's not the dynamics like in the original, it's the same rhythm all the time. But the new melody is quite good me thinks. All in all it sounds like it could be a radio hit. Yes really. Not that sure if that's a good sign or not.

Today I heard the acoustic version they recorded around 1986 and that one's got REAL passion in it. But I'm still looking forward to "This left feels right", even if it feels just average.

Maybe an international single... I figure the U.S. would get something that did very well before.... Like IML. I would be very happy with that! Wanted is fine with me.

well I`m nosey to here the whole song, but well radio hits aren`t really something I like

Someone heard the new Wanted on a Pittsburgh station from Backstage. It was initially not well received apparently- response ran about 50/50.
