He's not really comparing himself to Paris, but is merely saying "he knows what it's like". Leave Matt alone, he means so well and clearly didn't post this to remind everyone that he is JON BON JOVI'S BROTHER WHO LIVED IT ALL.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I'm no Matt defender. I think he can be a rude little prick, but he did grow up in the business so I don't see anything wrong with his tweet. When he was 13, he was on the road with the band. Yes, Jon's parents let him travel the world with a rock band at that age. I always found that to be odd and to be bad parenting, but whatever. It's a little different for him having a brother instead of a father in the business, but he's had Jon's shadow over his life from the time he was just a little kid. I think he can relate to her more than it might seem on the surface.

I find more entertainment value in the name of the Facebook profile that upped this pic.

Think you are right
When people idolize their own kids it is always bad if there is another kid, because then attention problems might start. Jon just always seems sincere about his family though.
I remember his mother having a big headshot of Jon when she was at a podium talking to the fan club..... ähem

What I find troubling is that people post here when Jon's kids are graduating / and to have a stalker blog and where they go to school. hmmm, if you know some personal things don't tell those things on message boards just because you want to seem important. Keep it quite would be my "motto".

And btw we are stalking Matt here too.

They're both "celebrities" by relation rather than their own talents. You can argue over whether they court it or not, but it can't be easy growing up in in those environments.

This.

We're so used to seeing Matt as a prick that we have a negative perception whenever he opens his mouth (or keyboard). I thought it was a humble tweet. It really must've been tough for him at the height of Jon's US popularity. On the other hand, that's the reason why at this age he has a job and, I imagine, a comfortable life.

I dislike most of Matt tweets regarding the band because I think he is not prepared to be a PR and although he says he isn't, sometimes he act as one but here I agree with you. His whole life has consisted in being Jon's shadow. At one point or another I think is natural that he wondered what would happen if he was the famous and good looking brother. Obviously now he is on terms with that but for a teenager it is a complete different story.

I know. I had to 'like' it. I couldn't resist.
