It was a very successful streaming, and they still remain in the collective memory of the fan.

First thing that came to mind from me was Jon & Richie unplugged at the MTV awards!

I wish I had pictures and videos from the time I became a fan, I have a terrible memory so those moments in time are a blur now (it's been more than 20 years!!!!!)

In chronological order:
  • The Runaway video had me fascinated and traumatized as a child
  • Their SWW and NJ performance videos, I don't think I thought the songs were masterpieces but the videos were a lot of fun, and it didn't hurt they were all very cute
  • The BOG (song and album) western imaginery made me a fan or the genre for like two minutes.
  • The 91 Oscars performance. It still gives me the chills
  • Yes, i was one of those "omg Jon cut his hair omg omg omg!!!!!111!!" girls. I hated the KTF video for that reason and still don't care too much...
  • The Always video for the opposite reason. It made me a real fan. In my defense I'll say it was my (pre)teen hormones acting up
  • These Days, their first album I bought with my money. i was honestly expecting a mix between 90s rock and sappy ballads and I was BLOWN AWAY. I vividly remember my reaction, the need for playing it over and over again until I memorized every lyric. The best English lesson I ever had!
  • Plotting to escape my home arrest to see them in '95 and not having the guts to do it at the very last moment. Not a good memory, but in hindsight I realize I wouldn't have enjoyed and remembered so much as to risk being grounded until I was legally an adult so...
  • The pleasant surprise that was DA. Also not lying, I found Jon's voice and haircut terribly sexy (teen hormones again lol)
  • The free acoustic show in 2002. Hearing it announced on the radio and literally running to get there on time. Being so close to the stage, the relaxed atmosphere, the sense that they wanted to be there (it was supposed to be a short promo show but they kept playing when they saw how much we appreciate their gesture)
  • The boxset. It helped me in a difficult time and most of the songs were oh so good. A few of them became my favorites
  • Being able to watch all their shows on YT after painstakingly downloading shitty videos from every other forum. Finding BJ forums and making my home there (that was before YT though)
  • Honolulu 2010. Enough said

I'd add the 1000000 pages Richie thread. That was a beacon of light during a shitty time. And hysterically funny

Oh yeah. I forgot about that one.

Any performance pre-Crush was mind-blowing, and I was always super proud when they were on TV (well MTV and the likes) and I could show my friends they were more that pretty faces. They ended up hating Live from London, both my friends and my VHS player lol

Completely irrelevant in the grand scheme of the band's history, but rather important for my personal history with it, since this was on when I was unsure whether to get the Bounce album aka the first BJ album I ever bought or not.

The interview and its emphasis on songwriting was also a nice touch.
