Max Martin wrote/produced songs for Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync, etc... everything that was definited by the boy bands and blonde teenage girl momentary lapse of reason in the music industry. For alot of people, that was a horror... so Max Martin, by creating these pop songs, is part of the problem. That Bon Jovi worked with him is unthinkable to some. Oh, no! Bon Jovi is selling out! Oh, no! Bon Jovi needs the help of someone who crafted hits for teenybopper bands! A lot of it is fans not being secure enough to understand that the band works with people they're interested in working with - and their standards are pretty high. But, some people think they know better than the band what the band should do... And, then there's the press in Sweden that is SO high on Max Martin (and Andreas Carlson) that they'll actually spread misinformation claiming that Max and Andreas deserve most of the credit for Bon Jovi - implying Bon Jovi had little to do with it. Max Martin is a writer, producer and if the band enjoyed working with him, who cares who else he's worked with in the past?
