I might change my mind after listening to the whole album.

Oh well that changes everything. C'mon people. If DEVIL'S SON can give this album a chance, I'm sure ANYONE could!

I must admit that at the moment I don't know if I WANT to hear the whole album. I mean, why should I force myself to like something that I don't like? Only because BJ stands on the cover?

I'm really looking forward to the DVD but I'm afraid that the album will come into my cupboard unheard at least for quite a while.

Maybe the snippets are in a bad quality, but the style of the songs doesn't change when you hear them in better sound quality.

It is hard because all of the songs they have chosen to re-do are popular hits. Therefore, they have been banged into our heads one certain way, and it takes an open mind to listen to them in a new way. I will give it a chance, although I keep thinking Las Vegas lounge act everytime I hear the snippets.

They've re-done songs earlier, like Prayer 94 or Runaway 2000 so it's not that new and I don't think the reason that we are so sceptical is that we are used to the old versions.

To be honest,the new songs ,at least some of the snippets, remind me of the early 1900 jazz. i doin't know why but that's not bad to me!

i guess it's not the 1900 but the jazz between the wars and just after the 2nd world war.That would mean early 1950....

There is a big difference between one or two songs and an entire album though.

I, for one, am used to the old versions. Doesn't mean I won't like the new ones too, but it will take a few listens to determine that.

That's the only point I'm trying to make. If it takes a few listens to determine whether you like it or not, then judging the album based on a few clips shouldn't give people the final answer.
