Default Meat Loaf and Richie!

It turns out Richie Sambora was supposed to play on BAT III!...and then he broke his damned collar bone and couldn't do it.

Meat Loaf said in an interview "Richie Sambora was my first choice to play on this album. He was the only person I thought of..."

damn Damn DAMN

Didn't anything go right for BAT III?

Ah well, it is still a damn fine record and the best album I will buy for years, I am sure.

Wow, that is interesting news. So, I guess Richie was going to squeeze that in before they went to Japan for the HAND tour.

That would have been awesome!

Interesting though that Meat says he was his "first choice" while in the new Rolling Stone he names his best guitarists ever and Richie is not one of them..

Honestly, I can't think of a collaboration that could ever be better in the rock world. That would be the best there could be...

Desmond cowrote some of the songs, so Richie was probably Desmond's suggestion. Richie obviously knows knows how to deliver songs that Desmond wrote/cowrote.

that is bizarre. check out a snippet of the interview:

You have to click on the big meat pic and then it is the second video snippet out of the four (I think).

it is one of the coolest things I have ever heard.
