The Leann Rimes version was NOT co-written by the band... I think it was just Andreas Carlsson. Somebody had this nice site that also listed demo-credits, that'd come in very handy right now.

So did she record it - i get what walrus was saying then - they just touched up a song that seems to have been already written..?

kinda like didnt bo bice get a writing credit on "Nothing" even though he ruined it a little and it was basically the same song??

I do not know the exact conditions concerning the song, but usually, professional songwriters often pen a song with a specific artist in mind - Kiss' Paul Stanley wrote a ballad "with Cher in mind" in the late 80s, Prince wrote a song for Madonna, Desmond Child and Holy Knight wrote "Love On A Rooftop" for Bonnie Tyler and so on - so I guess the song was written in a typical Leann Rimes style, but she rejected it, and with Andreas Carlsson & Desmond already writing with BJ, they also asked them if they wanted the song. They most likely only changed minor things, probably concerning the arrangement and lyrical details.

It was written for LeAnn Rimes. Andreas Carlsson says so himself.
