Superstar singer Jon Bon Jovi has confessed he was a drug dealer before finding fame as a rock star.

The frontman of rock band Bon Jovi admits he bought and sold cannabis as a struggling teenager in New Jersey.

He said: "I did the drug thing very young and wised up very young too, because I was into drugs a little too much.

"I was entrepreneurial even then, buying quarter pounds of dope and trying to make a couple of bucks."

The Livin' On A Prayer singer - whose band have sold more than 120 million records - says unlike many rock stars, his early experiences put him off becoming a habitual drug abuser in later life.

The 45-year-old father-of-four added: "Did you ever smoke dope that was laced with PCP and then have that whole summer of hallucinations? It was ****ing awful.

"That's why I've never been a drug guy. I've always felt I didn't have the mental stability."

I never expected him NOT to have dabbled/sold.

Yeah and if I look at vids from Richie on youtube I'm still thinking he's on cocaine and not alcohol. I mean look at him! look at maradona, robbie williams, chandler from friends as some examples when they were on coke.

Cocaine tends to make people skinny and if he was doing it recently....well we all know he wasn't skinny as of late but he looks A LOT better now. Alcohol makes people bloated. It would be more likely to be alcohol.

I think we can be reasonably sure he dide Coke.

That's not true, cocaine & people who have money, (ie can buy food) are never skinny. Look at all the famous cocain addict. Not even famous, but best examples I can get.

Alcohol, it depends wich kind you constantly drink. Their are different drink different substances, beer or a whiskey coke is different then whiskey straight, a lot different.

What rockstar hasn't done Coke?
I just don't think it was his drug of choice as of late.

and i'm pretty sure he is. Its better for him then alcohol, at least most of organs are better of then.
