Default Misheard lyrics!

Hey!

I was just wonderin if anyone else has misheard jovi lyrics in the past and continued singing the wrong words for a while?

In TYFLM I thought "all i've got, to give to you, are these five words tonight" was actually "all i've got, to give to you, if i was a knight."

Also one of my friends thought "shot through the heart, and you're to blame, you give love a bad name" was "shock to the heart, and your too late, you give love to batman"

I found a site with a huge database of them - including "Now the butcher's dead he left behind" instead of "Now the pictures that you left behind"

Yeah there are a few songs like that for me too.

I think there was something I always used to get wrong in One Wild night, but I can't remember what it was.

Also Rosscoe and I still can't work out if in wild in the streets Jon says "Back then" or "Rock band"

I still think its back then, but he still says that he hears rock band.....Does anyone actually know (coz they both sound good)?

I often misunderstand BJ-lyrics as english isnīt my first language Just canīt think of an example... hmm, donīt know if that counts, but I always thought that the greyhound in Captain Crash was a real dog. So I wondered why anyone would ride on a greyhound??

Anyway,

In Bitter Wine, I always thought that Jon sung, "You were giving me HELL on that creaky old bed..."
When in fact it's, "You were giving me HEAD on that creaky old bed..."

A friend of mine arranged IML for our band and he didn't know the lyrics then. So he wrote "Wednesday Town when it's calling you out..." instead of "Better stand tall..."....omg....

ktf, Johannes

I think Jon has a weird way of singing and he just seems to mumble or make up his own..... don't get me wrong I LOVE his voice and strangely enough as soon as you know what he is singing, he's as clear as a bell!! My friend and I have laughed a lot about how often we have gotten the lyrics wrong... quite embarressing considering English is our first language...

I can't remember all of the misheard lyrics but a few I remember that I have misheard were:
Bed of Roses: I want to be as close as the Holy Ghost is.. I thought he said I want to be as close as Holy Moses
It's my life: Like Frankie said I did it my way.. I blink and say I did it my way
Just older: I'm not old, just older... I'm not old, just Lionel

That's all I can remember now, there are loads more... but I guess embarressment has taken over.. My friend came up with the best though with the chorus of One Wild Night, she thought he said I want fried rice... oh, well.....

I thought that too, it was only when someone posted about it recently that I found the real lyrics.

LOL you know where they have a few BJ misheard lyrics? www.kissthisguy.com. stuff like "your love is like bad venison" and "like frankenstein I did it my way"!!!

I've misheard a few and wondered what the hell was going on...one in Dry County when I first got that album and hadn't read the cover yet I woulda sworn he's said
"to was the skin from our fine hams".
And in Thankyou For Loving Me, it really sounds like he says
"When I couldn't fight, you gave me weed". Or maybe it doesn't and I'm nuts...whatever
