There was definitely an article that talked about a Jon solo album many months ago, before there was even firm talk of a Richie solo album. It was just one article though and I don't remember the source. It got my hopes up though.

Same. I'd rather a solo album from him than a band record at this point.
Me too. I think he says more of what's on his heart when he does solo work or when he writes alone (like much of KTF).

Naw, he did a few interviews saying he'd like to do a stripped down solo album with just a few instruments. I need to look up exactly what he said. But I don't know if he was doing wishful thinking or if he ever started writing for it.

If we got a batch of songs with the quality of Lonely, I'd of been happy as shit.

Or Cold, Hard Heart. I always thought that was a masterpiece.

Ironically I cannot stand that song, and it shares a lot of stylistic similarities with Lonely. Makes no sense to me why I love one and hate the other.

I hate the album Destination Anywhere. But I love Blaze of Glory, the ideal would be something completely different from these two albums.

DA has a few good songs but its so slow. It just dont get going. Some real plop on there as well.
Its no surprise that after that there have been a lot of slow songs on Jovi albums.

No, still not missing the band but yesterday on VH1 they had BJs top 20 videos. I caught it at 15 - Lay Your Hands On Me.

I remember being 13 or 14 and seeing that video, seeing JBJ and thinking - wow, I want to be like that guy. JBJ (This is gonna sound homo) looked brilliant. The long hair (not permed) and the long coat in the video, the energy he oozed.

Thats how I think of Bon Jovi if I sit here and think about them. The 1988/89 era was def my fav for songs and image.
