It sometime amazes me how many 'music-experts' are around

"Just Older would have been the far better choice."

and

"Misunderstood is for sure not the best choice for a single."

and

"Itīs insane to release this weak a track as the second single."

People, isn't it all just a matter of taste? One love a track, another hates the track...

Greetz,

michel

yes, but there are for sure more people who had loved Just Older than people who love say it isn't so or thank you. Both weren't a big success.

And I also don't think that so many people love Misunderstood. I'm not talking about fans here but "ordinary" people who buy singles from time to time when they like a song. Singles are released to sell and when you look into today's charts I don't think this song would fit in today's taste of music at least not of the very young people who mainly buy single-CDs. I'm just talking about the business point.

if anyone had a slight knowledge of the music biz u'd know that most pof the time the A and R men decide wot gets released not the bands. these guys get paid to decide wot will sell singles and wot will go on an album.

im not being superior or anything but im just sick of people saying oh its there fault that this is on the album whilst this is a demo or y did they release that cos its shit.

the band may get a say in the matter but for the most part its A and R who decide wot gets released.

I don't think releasing Misunderstood is a very good idea, because to me. it doesn't have that groovy feeling like "It's my life" and "OWN". "Bounce'' would be a better choise, but he what can we do about it? Just buy Misunderstood and let's hope it will be a hit anyway!

Personally I think Misunderstood is extremely catchy & far better than SIIS - I think if the video's good it'll do very well.

I agree with Mike. Misunderstood is MUCH better than Say it isnīt so. And I can imagine that Iīll do very well, at least in the Europian Charts. The song is very catchy plus it doesnīt get boring if you hear it more oftenly.

I just have 2 things to say:
1. The record companies generally decide what songs are released, and if you look at Jon's fav songs undivided is one of them!!! however it directly refers to the sept 11 attacks and therefore probably won't get released.

2. Misunderstood is a good song!! (it isn't in the leage of bounce, undivided, and hook me up), but it is still a good medium pace song...and just coz 1 person doesn't like it won't change wot millions of others think

I think that "Misunderstood" is really a great song for the 2īnd single !!! Not a ballad, not a rocker, just a radiofriendly song, people can listen to when driving to work and back, without beeing sad (ballad). with "misunderstood" people can relax and smooth down !!
like it more than everyday !!!

I understand Christine, I know most people are talking from the business/commercial point of view... But it sometimes seems as if they are talking from a personal point of view.

I do think it would fit in today's music, but I agree that it won't fit in the choice of young people (but I really don't mind that)
