Misunderstood

Sorry for another single song thread, guys. But I have to say that I love this song. It's just great. I would say that it is my favorite from Bounce, and might even say it's one of the best from the entire decade. I know that many here think it's OK and has some cheesy lyrics, and some may even hate it. Each to their own. I don't know what it is about this song, but it just works for me. I don't know if it was the best choice as a single from Bounce (better than AALY, however). It probably would've fit better on Crush. I just want to know if there is at least ONE person who likes it as much as I do.

And let the bashing begin. I am willing to take it.

Bash i shall not... i agree it's a very good pop tune. I might claim it as the best of the Bounce record but i'm a little hesitant as uneven as it my be (my opinion) there are some standout tracks. The music video is definitely my favorite video from the band this decade however.

I like the song. I dont think it's their best, but I really enjoy it.

I much prefer Undivided, The Distance and Bounce though. Now those are songs I love.

I think it's a great track honestly. Probably my second favorite off of Bounce, and one of the best singles they released between 2000 and 2009.

My fave song from Bounce! Love the song. It's cheesy, yes, but that's what makes it so good!

I forgot to add that it sounds pretty good live. From the performances I've seen, it looks like the guys enjoyed playing it.

A little question, which version do you prefer? The album or single edit? I like them both; the album version sounds a little more natural to me, while I do like how the single edit is extended and has a polished solo. The single version gets the slight edge for me, because the chorus sounds a bit better with the "IIIIII" echo part and the slight drum change into the chorus.

I've never heard the single edit, just the album. Whats the difference in time length for both?

Didn't even know there was a single edit... why would there even need to be one? Silly record industry :-p

The single edit has runs about 3 minutes 50 seconds (about 20 seconds longer than the original), which is strange for a single edit because it's longer. It has an acoustic guitar intro, different first verse styling, a slightly changed chorus arrangement, and a longer second chorus. The solo is a bit cleaned up, too. It is the version that is in the video, and the version that was played throughout the Bounce Tour. The original was played in the first promo shows, though.

There are no lyric changes, while the rest is reworked quite a bit. Both are good.

Blech. And I've seen it live (Chicago 2008 - night 2). It didn't change my opinion.
