MOST CLICHED LYRICS: (Jon) Bon Jovi

Notice my surprise at an insert of Bon Jovi in one of the magazines I recieved for Easter. Looking through the spoof awards, I noticed one that featured our very Bon Jovi.

MOST CLICHED LYRICS: The King of Cliches, Jon Bon Jovi, wins this one hands down. In his song, "Everyday", he sings: "I'm gonna touch the sky, Spread these wings and fly..." and then adds, "Change, everbody's feeling strange, Never gonna be the same." Nice work, Jon. You're really giving Bryan Adams some competition in the cliche-writing department.

That's what I would answer to them: "Stupid Morons...BJ is a group. Jon on his own...is definitively not BJ. BJ=Jon, Richie,David, Tico, Alex. Is that Clear, stupid jerks! and, MORONS, By the way, BJ lyrics rocks! and I don't need to justify that because we all know it"....
and so on...and on and on

that reply would make them respect the band, huh?

That article was pretty rude, if you ask me. Ignorant, too. If the writer had brains, not only would he have known that Bon Jovi was a BAND, he would have known that there are songs that are far more clicheed than Everyday.

if Jon wants to write such cliched lyrics then he should be prepared to receive the reviews

which he probably is, so the fans need to be too

and to be honest, over the last 10 years or so Ive read far more negative reviews than positive

in the end, I like them, I dont care if a journalist doesnt

If I was a journo, and was given the job of reviewing albums Id just put for every limp bizkit / sum41 / etc album - "This is total crap"

I directly associate this with writting cliched rock lyrics.... I was writting a song last night, let me quote a line....
We've got it, and you've got it, and we're ready to rock....

Song's called We've got rock... and hell it ROCKS!!!!!!

Why is it if something negative is said, it's okay that they only name Jon, but if were something positive most of this board would be all over it saying that Jon AND Richie wrote those lyrics?

because Becky everybody can see the difference in quality of the lyrics in the solo albums and it is also very easy to see which songs are primarily jons and which have equal input from both
