the worst song of BJ's for cliches

i always remember hearing this for the first time in Tenerife in 1999 before it really had any radio play in the UK and thought : "it's not the BJ i know but at least it's a rock song of sorts"... then on 1st listen i thought Crush was ok, but then all the "where are the solos, guitar works, keyboards etc"... came in
thats how it was with bounce for me. liked it first, but then I realized that it was so good. I have never liked crush...

Hate any line which refers to hearts on a shelf.

I like what this band comes up with when he doesn't know what to write, such as BOR and "My Guitar".

"door slams like a shutgun - brought you to your feet - it's just the wind that's blowing through those secrets that we keep" and "his ring is on your finger but my heart is in your hand". Incredible...it really paints the picture well.
these days lyrics are probably the best they have done so far. especially the onces you mention, they are perfect!

btw I really like your avantar!

thank ya! :P
There are good lyrics on "Keep The Faith" as well. I have always enjoyed this line the most:

"When love is blood, you're never on trial - it don't get deeper than a mother and child"

that one is good, but i can't understand "you're never on trial", doesn't children and parents argue quite a lot?
I think the best from keep the faith is, you know "you're gonna live thru the rain
Lord you got to keep the faith", that one is perfect! (I'm a bit partial here, its my favourite song... )

I think "you're never on trial" because no matter what kind of arguments you get into with your family, it will most likely work out because you're blood. You're stuck together with that bond for life.

my teacher's didn't like me, they tried to put me down, cos i wore my hair too long, played my music way too loud

That's the best one - i've never heard that sort of rock moment described so well by any band

my motto
