FWIW I don't believe it's the musical genre they're uncomfortable with; I think it's the "big hair = lightweight" tag that they want to distance themselves from. But no, they wouldn't write 80s style music anymore because it's 2008 and unlike their 80s contemporaries, they're not trying to recapture past glories.

I have never said they left. I never said it's because of you or jade4jovi, either. I just noticed the interesting correlation which may be causal or not. However, you seem to feel guilty. I wonder why.

You gotta consider as well that the members of Bon Jovi don't really seem to be that into heavy rock ... I mean, you look at a band like Motley Crue, and you can tell they've got a lot of punk and heavy metal influences, you can tell that they probably loved Never Mind The Bollocks and Rocks and stuff like that. Bon Jovi have different influences, just look at Jon and Richie's first solo albums ... Jon got Elton John and Jeff Beck to guest, Richie got Eric Clapton ... I think that's more the kind of music they want to make

Of course, I'd love for them to come back in a few years, having done some great diverse solo albums, with Keep The Faith part 2, but I think that it's unlikely
