NO DONT EVER DO THAT!!! youve got to start with the accoustic, since all the basic of playing guitar is the accoustic. and after, it will be alot easier to play the electric guitar. its easier to pass from accoustic to electric, than electric to accoustic, trust me. I've got a friend who started with electric, and He's still hoping someday he will play acoustic well. I started with acoustic, because its the way it should be.
