Forget about the Region code in this case. The DVD form Europe is a PAL format. In Canada, you can read only NTSC format, same as Japan. So you need the DVD version from Japan. Sorry for you. Maybe somebody can help you in other way....

Wrong. The DVD players can read both formats, at least most of them can. It's either your TV that can't show it, or then you have a cheap DVD player that can't handle PAL - disks.

Anyway, usually the DVD players read anything, it's a question of having a multi-norm TV. Any computer should be able to play it just fine. If you want to convert it, you need to convert the whole DVD, and that's gonna take a lot of time and HD space.

Where have you bought it? I heard of several people who bought at Cdwow and got an import from Hongkong. They also have difficulties with the DVD, it doesn't work at all.

CDwow sold the international version. They even don't say on their homepage that it is from Hongkong. We even guessed that it maybe is an illegal copy or something.

Not sure, but somehow I think Hong Kong releases are bit like south american releases, one can never know what's official and what's more or less pirated. I do have few brazilian imports, and well, they don't look like officials to me, even though they were bought from brazilian record stores.
