I don't know how to categorise this song, is it a ballad?

Well I think it is. It's very good and I would say it's a ballad but with lot of power in it!

i woudlnt call it a ballad at all...some ppl classify it as a rocker but im not sure i would even go that far.

A ballad doesn't have to be a love song. I would definately call this a ballad.

It doesn't particularly matter whether its a ballad or not (and yeah, I know I had that rant about In These Arms not being a ballad in the other thread, so thats a bit hypocritical ). Its just a great song. But if pushed, I'd call it a blues rock song, not particularly a ballad

I thought that a ballad was a song with slow tempo and love lyrics, but my guitar lies bleeding has not love lyrics, talks bout life and desperation. Well, thats my opinion. BON JOVI FOREVER. RIPP OFFS FOREVER!
