I hope you don't mean that Slovakia is some terribly ancient land we do know, or do have access to almost all of films that world can offer. Although we in Slovakia might have grown up on some different farytales... mostly Czech and Slovak. Our farytales (films) are bautifuly done - mostly folk stories know for centuries

I've never ever seen Grease or the Wizard Of Oz - and have no plans to change the former fact.

....yeh, guess that's the solution. Europe does not live out of Wizard of Oz.... perhaps more likely Tom&Jerry

No - I am not insulting your country at all. Different countries have different "classics" though that kids growing up will usually see. These classics are not necessarily the same from country to country. I have family in Italy and the kids there watched alot of the same stuff that kids do here but certainly not all.

I simply meant that the Wizard of Oz is an old film and considering your age you might not have cared to see it. I know plenty of kids here in the US that haven't seen it either. My daughter is 17 - she saw it once and wouldn't bother again LOL.

yeah, I know what you mean about the old versus new.... although some kids of my generation discover the 'old' stuff over again. ...it depends on how much they care there are some who don't bother, mostly those who don't even bother about education, but there are people who find the classics very close, witty, they can relate to it, still have something to tell.

It's better than Grease Martin - it really is an old classic. It kind of spans the changeover between black and white films and colour. It's also a hell of a fantasy LOL. Grease is simply cheesy.

This will probably make me sound really stupid, but I love the Wizard of Oz and the first time I heard that song I didn't pick up on it! lol.
I finally got it though And it's one of my favorite songs. I just like how the whole thing is written...
