I'd agree with all that except that I think there are only 2 truly classic songs, Prayer and Wanted, and like I said earlier both of them sound infinitely better when played live, in my humble opinion.
Bad Name is a classic in the sense that it's famous but I don't think it's anywhere near a classic in terms of quality.

Let it Rock, Raise Your Hands and Wild in theStreets are all cool, fun rock and roll songs but they aren't anything more then that.

The three ballads are ultra 80's as you said and three of the weakest ever written. I still think they are great songs but even All About Loving You (which I'm not overly fond of) is a better ballad then all three of these.

Social disease then is pretty much the worst Bon Jovi song ever.

Slippery is a fun album but it's definitely a rather immature (for want of a better word) album. I think if they re-recorded it live it would come off far better.

This is how I'd rank all the bon Jovi albums and this gives you an idea which era's I prefare:

These Days
Keep The Faith
Destination Anywhere
Bounce
New Jersey
Blaze of Glory
Crush
Slippery When Wet
This Left Feels Right

BIG GAP

7800
Bon Jovi

My top 3 albums are all from the 90's.

Phil... first, welcome to the board. Second... have you heard King of the Mountain? LOL Social Disease isn't one of my favorites. I wish they'd let Aerosmith record it since they wanted it.

You mean I've been listening to these albums for years and they're not Bon Jovi albums? No wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Thank You for that crumb of incredibley obvious piece of information.
Please!

The only reason I didn't include Richies two, which I adore, is that it's a different vocalist so I kept them seprate.

Hi Becky, thanks for the welcome! Yep, I've heard King Of The Mountain and the rest of the first two records. I actually don't mind KOTM that much, there's just something about Social Disease that drives me crazy. I hate it .

i think the old albums are better cos theyre more consistent - theyre closer to being an "albums band" as well as a "singles band" on their old albums, but on newer albums theyre a "singles band". if u get what i mean.
