Yet another awards show...but I'm sure we'll all watch this one

BON JOVI TO BE HONORED ON AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS
(Monday, November 1, 2004)

Dick Clark and the American Music Awards announced it this morning...(this was the 'yet-unaccounced' TV appearance we'd hinted at last week. Here's the full info:

BON JOVI NAMED WINNER OF "AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS" AWARD OF MERIT

Following in the footsteps of other luminary figures in the music world, Bon Jovi has been named the 31st winner of the "American Music Awards" special "Award of Merit." Tribute will be paid to Bon Jovi on the 32nd annual "American Music Awards" telecast, which airs live on ABC Television, Sunday, November 14 from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, and the band will also perform on the show.

The "Award of Merit" is presented to a member of the musical community in recognition of "outstanding contributions to the musical entertainment of the American public." agreed, and yet the grammy will probably slip past them one more time hehehehe. These awards are silly, but I bet the performance will be great!

It is great to know that they are finally being recognized for their accomplishments. I will surely be watching. Wonder what they will play, hopefully not just the usual Prayer/Bad Name/Wanted.

The cynic in me immediately thought how convenient that their box set is released the very next day... the fan in me thinks regardless of that, its cool, doubt it'll air in the UK but I'll be checking

Whooooo!!! It sounds like it will be cool
Maybe they'll do a performance like they did before, with the acoustic versions of wanted and prayer (with no shoes on if i remember right)

I don't remember the last time they all were at an award show

The American Music Awards.

Kinda like a bigger flashier version of the Brits.

Pretty much the same as every other awards shindig. A nice excuse to get suited up, get pished and sell more records in the process.
