I only knew what lol and lolal meant from msn, but I only looked the others up recently, when I saw them on here, and wondered what they meant, lol.

'lol' is actually Dutch for 'fun' :P

'having fun' = 'lol hebben'

ok... but that's probably not where the 'LOL' that's used so frequently online comes from
