as far the topic goes I didn't know the Calling and Bon Jovi frontmen even knew each other. Maybe The Calling will open for BJ on the next tour.

I love it how people hear that they met at an award funtion and automatically assume Alex thinks they're friends. What if, and it's a big if, they kept in contact and remain friends..? Just 'cuz it's not the in the press and shouted out to the masses, it doesn't mean it never happend.

Precisely. Alex is just the kind of kid Jon is likely to take a shine to I think - the bands have a lot in common in terms of style.

and I remember Jon promoting the Calling on the Carson Daly interview. It's very plausible to believe they struck up a friendship.

Wouldn't be the first time Jon has played mentor and/or promoter for a band either. If memory serves, he's played a part in helping out Cinderella, Motley Crue and of course, Skid Row. I really don't get where the naysayers are coming from... (big surprise there)

i woodnt mind seen them open for Bon Jovi. right sorta band nowadays if u think of it.. in the same vein as MB20 and the Googoo dolls
