I don't know why this board took it to heart that they were releasing the Giants Stadium homecoming show on DVD. Two DVD's of relatively the same tour being sold is the kind of marketing only a dim witted fan would think up. Putting out a NEW DVD from a previous tour during a brand new album/tour period makes absolutely no sense or business sense. For anyone who begs to differ, please cite an example where this has been done. I imagine the marketing exec who thought up that one got fired pretty quick.
I loved Shepherds Bush....all the songs are performed like they mean it..even the tired ones like Sleep When I'm Dead. But people...come on! The tour hasn't even begun yet. If Shepherds Bush winds up being the DVD...you can forget about a DVD of the full scale Bounce tour which would be more songs and full scale stage production. Business does not work that way. All of you crying for the Shepherds Bush show to be put on DVD now will be bawling later when you see the Bounce tour and realize you jumped the gun with your hopes and desires. Take into account what you haven't even seen yet.
Would you rather see a DVD which starts with the band walking out on stage and starting a cover song followed by the Prayer/Bad Name pairing which already starts the show on two existing concert DVD's or would you rather see Jon shoot through the floor in an eruption of sparks screaming "I'm reaching out for you, come on!" Yes, it's speculation at this point.....but wouldn't surprise me if that's exactly how it will go.
