There are bands that have 15 songs on an album. Bon Jovi always has bonus tracks (with the exception of The Circle), and some of those as we know have been better than songs that made the album. There is no money to be made from bonus tracks. Just give the fans what they want, which is more music.
They should be taking another year off.

I expect another bland money churning album with no soul or passion.

Bon Jovi as a rock group with thumping songs is over.

I just want him to be a fun guy who enjoys rocking but he isnt that anymore - even his hair is dull and business man like. (i dont want to get into a debate about his hair but the man looks anything but a rock star)
But that's not what the interview was about. If he went on a neutral talk show or a music show yah, totally, but he was invited to specifically talk about that.

I want a decent rock album as we havent had one since god knows when.

Then don't watch it. The show isn't aimed at you if you don't care about that side. Don't get me wrong, I hate when the topic seeps into music interviews but this wasn't for the music.

Why? It's his life (pun extremely intended). He's being charitable. It's a great thing, I think. But as Captain said, it's not a music interview. It's CNBC. A business-oriented TV station.

He can be a musician and a philanthropist. But yes, it is annoying when the business side slips into music-centric interviews.

I'm tired of hearing how he feels about politics. Talk about music, whether it be yours or the industry as a whole.
When the band are't promoting an album/tour he can't really talk about music. During this year we will probably see more of him doing this sort of thing while Richie is doing his 'thing'.

He isn't being a rock star right now, is it necessary to carry it around like a badge of honor ala Steven Tyler, Brett Michaels etc.....???
