Ok, point made, replace lazy with unprofessional or irresponsible.

Anyway, my point was we should just call everybody by their names.

The songs he is covering were during a period when Jovi did rock and have soul. He is not covering anything from the past 10 years, where as Jon does.... Mainly for vocal reasons.

I think Jon and Richie both have good points of argument.

Jon is still driven and hard working but lost all his talent and is willing to take short-cuts.

Richie wants to just have a good time and create music from the heart by expressing his artistic talents.

Jon is the ego and direction, Richie had enough and bailed.

I see both sides. Hopefully we'll get 2 good solo albums from both and double our music.

He covered Who says on his tour last year and that certainly doesn't rock or have soul.

I don't disagree with anything you said here. I am just tired of seeing Jon referred to as CEO or evil dictator or satan incarnate while Richie is just Richie the swell guy.

But that song won several awards, including the Grammy, the only one who has won the band, and is written by Jon and Richie. So in a way, I understand why Richie want to play this song.

I'm not sure what the Jon vs. Richie debate has to do with the topic of this thread.

I thought the interview with Phil was great. I enjoyed hearing his perspective and I'm really glad he told us how to pronounce his last name. Not that I'll remember in two days time, but at least I know where to go for reference.

But did little to nothing everywhere but North America, which is where the tour took place. Grammy Awards are nice if you're playing a song America accepted but that's not the case.

Sorry, that was me. Rolos last "ceo" jab got the better of me for a second.

Please get your head out of Richie's ass, thank you. When Jon sings the song, it's crap. When Richie sings it, it's an award-winning song and should be sang?

The interview with Phil was good, seems like a reasonable guy.
