NEW RECORDING OR BREAK in 2004?

MAN I HOPE THIS BOX SET WILL ROCK.

I know it will rock!!!!!Its their first box set and I know they will do everything to surprise and please the fans!;o)

I know thats a kinda stupid question.... but what's a box set? and will it be available in europe?

A box set is a collection of CDs. We hope this one will include a lot of rare/unreleased stuff rather than just the studio albums sold as a collection. It should be available internationally.

I think there´ll be a break where the guys will release some solo-records and Jon doing some movie-stuff. Personally I´m very looking forward to a new Richie-album, as I loved Stranger & US. And I hope Jon will also release a good third album.
I´ve only been a fan since Crush, so I never had to "survive" a break of the band. And I REALLY hope the break won´t be for too long. I think I´d go insane, if the break took another five years. But like Becky said, this time it just can´t be five years, because of the 25th anniversary!!
But we never know what the guys decide to do next, so let´s just see what happens!!

Sadly, I am in agreement with most here. I think they will take a break to pursue solo efforts. They say they will tour most of 2003. Jon has a couple of screenplays he's been writing and Richie has wanted to do another solo album. I don't think the "break" will be 5 long years again, but when they get wrapped up in things, who knows. It wasn't supposed to be 5 last time, either. Maybe in the interim they will release another "greatest hits" CD? I'm already feeling sad about it, and it's about a year off.

Joverl, don't worry. Even if they make another band break you for sure won't be without any BJ. Richie and Jon will make other solo-records, they will do TV to promote them and maybe even go on tour like during the last band break. You always will be in touch with the guys or at least with some of the band members. In the past 10 years was only one year (1999) where there wasn't anything BJ-related. The last band break started in 1996 after the These Days tour. In 1997 Jon's solo-album came out, he did several TV appearances and a concert here in Germany. In 1998 Richie's album came out and Richie and Jon made solo tours. In 2000 Crush came out and the band break was over.

Tico did a lot of painting and stuff during the last band break and had severel exhibitions incl. one in the Hotel Bayrischen Hof in Munich here in Germany.

So a band break is not too hard to survive as long as we know they will be back together some day.

im just like Joverl and havent had to go through a break....and with the solo cds, richies past two have been great but i hardly ever listen to destination anywhere.....IMO, its just not that great....movies will work too though

Actually, I'm somewhat looking foward to a break.....I guess the solo stuff is just as much a part of being a fan as the band albums, and I haven't had the chance to go through that yet......so bring it on!
