Coming from a blue collar part of the States and supposedly having blue collar values this just smacks of hypocrisy, as well as betrayal and lies. WHich part of all this are you naive people not understanding. Get your Richie blinkers off and look at the real picture. It tells me what sort of values you have as a person if you condemn behavior like this from a supposed role model.
richie is in it for music.. jon is in it for the mighty $$... sheesh even his new gray hair has the look of a politican stance to it.. what part dont you understand? jon a role model? for sure it aint for his kids.. the guy is never home..

Jon did not get his balls of launch What About Now solo album. Because he's afraid to fail. Because it's all about money. Richie proved that money sucks. Now he is free. Jon role model? a guy who not values its musicians, and only pursue success. Yes of course.

A shoulder he broke after he "tripped" in the bathroom following rumours of him being drunk on stage. Say what you want about Jon, but in the end he always shows up. I'm not saying he's not doing it for money and he might be on auto pilot on 85% of the tour, but he's there. Once Richie has a few problems every other person needs to deal with in his life, he resorts to alcohol, drugs or just walks away. He's turned into a spineless creature too afraid to actually face what his blue collared fans deal with on a daily basis.

The Richie Sambora Rolo and a few other fans on this board keep going on about has been missing in action for pretty much a decade now, and if anything this last solo tour of his that's "all about the music" is a perfect indication how out of touch Richie is with music. It's bland pub rock at best, but then again, that's probably why he's been playing pubs as well.

If Richie is in it for music then how come every solo album he has released has quite literally sucked ass through a straw. The odd good one like Stranger and Yesterday's Blues. But given that Richie has 3 times had the freedom to be creative out of Bon Jovi I would have thought that the last album at least would be a little further from the Bon Jovi sound that he has been "forced" to write by that martyr Jon.

Jon doesn't need the money anyway. I think you think that he just spunks over his bank statements through the post looking at the number of zero's. Fact is that he puts an awful lot back into communities and housing. And wants the very best for his family.

And what he does in his own free time and how he has his hair should not be scrutinised.

He's a mess and he's trying to convince himself that he's moving on without Jon. Truth be told he will never EVER be the man he was without the band. He's a deluded drunk that needs to know where his bread is buttered and realise he is making a complete tit of himself. He's disguising this pathetic demonstration as freedom to write, play and be free spirited.
DDD Exactly!!! It' s hard to see and to belive if someone is only a Richie fan.

Jon would have got more money from What About Now being a solo album, you twonk. Jon has proven twice that he can still have success as a solo artist. Richie will always be jealous of Jon and that is a fact.

Your views on Richie's current music is yours. I would say the same (and more) about current Bon Jovi. Everybody has their own opinions.
