A shoulder he broke after he "tripped" in the bathroom following rumours of him being drunk on stage. As a result of this broken shoulder, he drank more, showed up completely wasted on stage pretty much more drunk than sober, making the HAND tour the actual first tour where Jon couldn't count on Richie being all there.

Say what you want about Jon, but in the end he always shows up. I'm not saying he's not doing it for money and he might be on auto pilot on 85% of the tour, but he's there. Once Richie has a few problems every other person needs to deal with in his life, he resorts to alcohol, drugs or just walks away. He's turned into a spineless creature too afraid to actually face what his blue collared fans deal with on a daily basis.

The Richie Sambora Rolo and a few other fans on this board keep going on about has been missing in action for pretty much a decade now, and if anything this last solo tour of his that's "all about the music" is a perfect indication how out of touch Richie is with music. It's bland pub rock at best, but then again, that's probably why he's been playing pubs as well.
