Jon seems to be indicating in quite a few interviews that going 'Country' is the only way this band can survive!

If so my worry is that if this album is hugely successful in America, they will carry on down that route.

If that's the case LH is the beginning of the end for me!

I believe what he said was the phrase "patron saint of lonely souls, twell this boy which way to go, guide the car you got the keys, farewell to mediocrity" was the best thing he and Richie had ever written, it fit his life perfectly at the moment.

At 7mins and 49 seconds in, Jon refers to the bridge of Lost Highway as their best bridge. Nowhere have I ever seen Jon refer to the song as their best.
