Nj Vs. Sww

I like both but I think I prefer New Jersey.

I'll go with NJ, I like it's overall sound and feeling better and the one and only song I hate on these two albums is Without Love.

I agree that it was written as a copy of Slippery but it is a bit more mature. Also it was my first exposure to Bon Jovi so I have a soft spot in my heart for it. The first 2 albums plus Slippery I found after I heard New Jersey.

Conclusion: SWW >>>> NJ. The fun songs are more fun to listen, the more serious songs are unbeatable, and the ablum is overall more varied. NJ just sounds to much the same to me. Too much Wanted DOA influence on songs such as BoB, Ht, WitW, RCR, and StyG, in my opinion. (Maybe that's why I'm not a big fan of Blaze of Glory either, as a whole.) I think NJ lacks the polish SWW has, and the only seemingly different sounding tracks in terms of originality are Born to be and Love for Sale.

I will have to say New Jersey.,..but only just. Thats a tough one to call, really...

New Jersey definitley. While SWW has the really big hits (LOAP, Bad Name, Wanted) New Jersey has the better songs as far as lyrics, meaning, etc. I consider the songs on NJ more special and heartfelt. Personal faves are Living In Sin, Blood on Blood, Stick to Your Guns, Wild Is the Wind, IBTFY, LYHOM, BTBMB, okay, who am I kidding I love them all.

I agree with whoever it was that said New Jersey is Bon Jovi's masterpiece.

sometimes its a tie, but SWW is my vote now.
