I am quite capable of reading and understanding English Thank You very much. I however, am not capable of understanding made up arguments and big headed comebacks that simply do not make any sense whatsoever except in your own head. A conscious effort was made to NOT include any Bounce songs, royalties however do not fall into the reasons simply for the fact that there are plenty of co-writers on the other songs already, and to not include a simple song based on having to give a few cents each cd to a co-writer simply falls into the land of make believe and horrible fan fiction. Sorry but it's the truth, if that makes it more interesting for you to believe that then go on, you simply asked for a discussion and we're disagreeing with you on the matter, big time.

Have a great weekend also.....

Look this is just my theory. I think it's more than a few extra cents but whatever. When I had this posted on the other thread, it seemed that a lot of others agreed with me. Or at least considered the possibility.

The point of this thread was to get others to give me VALID reasons why Bounce wasn't included in the GHs. Not for this Sebastian fellow to go ballistic, rattle off some facts we all aready know and say "End Of Discussion".

This Bounce thing,it's not about royalties.Jon doesn't care for GH,it's "his obligation to the record company".(though he does care if it's No.1 or not,but that's a different subject)One of the reasons he doesn't care(among the nostalgia thing, his pseudo-creative ego and so on) is that he doesn't get not even a comparable amount of money as he does with touring.Universal will get the biggest share, then band,co-writers,producers and so on.He cares about money,oh yes,but he couldn't care less if some random guy will get few cents per copy of GH's profit.I don't know why not one song is included, but as it is already said,Bounce was the biggest dissapointment among Bon Jovi's albums,Jon thought it would go massive, hell he thought Everyday would be bigger than Prayer itself. As a result, now Bounce is forgotten, long ago Jon marked it as failure and he probably didn't rape his mind with this matter over and over as some people have tendency to do.If there is no TD songs included,it would be very controversial because it is fan's favourite and it was a massive success worldwide.IMO Bounce should have at least one song on the GH but then again,I don't really care.

Because it's Jon's favorite song ever. He even admitted it on the Live on Letterman performance. I like the song a lot, but it shouldn't be anywhere near the record. A Bounce or Crush single should've taken it's place, or preferably Never Say Goodbye.

I think WWWB is a lovely song, beautiful. I am happy with it being on the GH but I am disappointed that NSG was left off. NSG is one of my all time fave songs.

-Like I said in the other thread, it's an interesting theory However, I think it's MUCH more likely that the lack of Bounce songs has to do with Bounce's failure.

-Your TLFR argument makes almost no sense. Recording, mastering, releasing, and promoting a newly made album is much more expensive than what producers would have gotten.

-Also, for all the talk about Alec (or I guess we call him Alex now), I would have to imagine that agreements detailing his royalties on future releases were pounded out back in 1994. Also, performance rights are VERY different than creative/songwriting rights. Though Alec played, he has no control over the songs.

has nothing really to do with anything i dont think, but on an interesting side-note...

the black crowes and pearl jam both broke with their record companies and started their own.

i personally love TLFR, more so the live versions, but especially the artistic creativity, to keep bashing it as a horrible mistake means they may never step out of the box again, but i digress...

the black crowes just released an acoustic greatest hits as well - it wasnt nearly as inventive or creative, basically at all as TLFR, aside from a gospel breakdown in one track and a few drum loops and hand claps - it is however a beautiful double album for the price of one - croweology.

my belabored point is that they RECORDED acoustic greatest hits so they didnt have to pay the record companies they despised so much A DIME. they go into the studio for a few weeks - crank out some acoustic versions - release them on their own label and keep all the money. if they just released another greatest hits from the studio tracks the rc gets a piece apparently.

not totally positive that is what happened but im pretty sure from what i read thats a major reason for it going down like that...

To pre-empt the bashing- seb - i realize the jovis are on the same label - just thought it was interestng little relateable aside

not one bounce song is ridiculous - esp since some of the best songs they ever recorded were left OFF that album!

my peace

Oh, you mean ALEC! Before you come up with conspiracy theories, it would be better if you actually seemed like a genuine fan. More believeable that way, no?
