As long as Jann Werner and his cronies are the committee, they're never getting in. Simple as that.

Yeah, but all those stats merely prove that numbers don't always mean everything. If they would, artists like Spears and Bieber would be worthy of a nomination as well. I reckon one of the big reasons why Bon Jovi aren't inducted is because they've very often put art at second place and money at the first. So despite Elton John, Springsteen not being close to the same numbers in certain categories Bon Jovi are, they've all done their commercial things but haven't made their decisions depend on the market they're exploring where as Bon Jovi explores the market and then changes direction every time the market does so as well.

Very amateur article. I could write a better fact sheet with more convincing reasons (and stats) as to why they should be in the HoF. Then again, the Hall is such a joke, does it matter?

I really could not care less about the hall of fame. Bon Jovi not being in it means nothing to me, especially when bands like Rush and Deep Purple aren't in yet either.

Every year a thread along these lines is posted and every year I think: "Why do we care about this so much? Does a band that you like actually need to be dignified by a group of corporate suits arguing over something as untenable as music and what's better than the other?"

It really makes this year seem like it went by super fast. I could have sworn the last thread about this was only a few months ago.

You can say that about a lot of bands/artists that are in the Hall though. Frankly, I don't care if they get in or not, but they are certainly "deserving" to get in, and simply won't because of whose in charge of the nomination process.

http://rockhall.com/get-involved/interact/poll/

For the first time in its history, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will offer fans the opportunity to officially participate in the induction selection process. Beginning on Thursday, October 4 and continuing through December 5, the public can vote for the five nominees they believe to be most deserving of induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The top five artists, as selected by the public, will comprise a “fans’ ballot” that will be tallied along with the other ballots to choose the 2013 inductees.

As big fan, need to Bon Jovi in the Hall of Fame, I think is the greatest recognition that a rock band can have.

That hall of fame is mostly a joke anyway considering many people nominated are not even in the Rock genre.
