No Hall of Fame Again

Talking purely rock 'n' roll...whoever thinks that DEEP PURPLE should be inducted at the same time as Heart or as Joan Jett is a ****in' moron! End of discussion. DEEP PURPLE is part of the holy trinity of British hard rock...anyway, there's only 3 heavy rock bands that are bigger and more influential...these are Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and AC/DC. Everything else, DEEP ****in' PURPLE. Child in Time, Black Night....SMOKE ON THE WATER. Come on!?!? Anyone telling me they should be inducted at the same time as ****in' Heart (not to mention the other bands on the list)??? Give me a break. If I were Ian Gillan or Ritchie Blackmore, I'd decline, I wouldn't show up, I'd tell them to go **** themselves.

I gave up caring about this a long time ago. For what it's worth I think they will be inducted at some point but it will prove a long wait. The whole institution is so political it makes a mockery of the process.

It is true that some do not deserve this honor, but still, the bands that have been included are impressive, Aerosmith, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, U2, Bob Dylan, Elvis, Guns N Roses, Bruce Springsteen, Van Halen, Ronnie James Dio, AC / DC, Black Sabbath, Hendrix, Neil Young, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Who, James Brown, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Queen, The Doors, Alice Cooper, Johnny Cash, Thin Lizzy, R.E.M......

Being part of it would be fantastic. I do not understand some fans, show more interest in voting for the MTV stupid best rock group of the year or best live show as Michael Jackson or other as Linkin Park that they take seriously. However despise the Hall of Fame simply because Madonna or ABBA are included, and they ignore the other great artists.

Jon at the premiere of a movie talking about the songs he wrote for the soundtrack but at the very end, they ask about again not being inducted into the Hall of Frame and he seems OK and said it will come.

Ritchie Blackmore said in a recent interview that looking at who is in there, it's not something he wants to be part of or gives a damn.

That should be Jon's attitude as well. That's the only way he'll make it in. Reverse psychology "Ahh, he doesn't want to be associated with Public Enemy? Let's associate him with Public Enemy!"

Looks like a North Ammurrican Stadium tour this coming summer. He mentioned coming back to Soldier Field in Chicago next summer.
